Reliance Industries has announced the first open-air, roof-top theatre, Jio Drive-In at Jio World Drive in Mumbai. The theatre will commence its operations from November 5, a day after Diwali. It is reported that Jio World Drive will offer a range of world-class experiences to its customers with technology and cutting edge innovation.
JWD will be home to some exceptional food and beverage, retail and culture, many of which will be experienced the first time in the country. All these experiences are built with the intent to showcase the best of India to the world and vice versa. Operated by PVR, Jio Drive-in will have a capacity of 290 cars and will be the biggest cinema space in Mumbai. The concept aims to bring a new source of entertainment with people watching movies from the comfort of their cars on a rooftop.
