Himmatwala is an official remake of the Jeetendra and Sri Devi starrer of the same name that came out in 1983.
The new version is being directed by Sajid Khan who last year gave us the whimsical comedy Houseful 2 in 2012 that had an ensemble cast. That movie was a money spinner and we’ll have to wait and see if Sajid weaves his magic around an action film as well which is a new genre for him altogether.
The new Himmatwala has been produced by UTV and Vashu Bhagnani and stars Ajay Devgn and Tamannaah who makes her debut with this film.
