As Kangana Ranaut appeared in the defamation case filed by Javed Akhtar before the magistrate court in Mumbai yesterday, her lawyer said that the actress, too has filed a case against the lyricist. She has accused Javed Akhtar of extortion and criminal intimidation, amongst other charges. Kangana said that in a dispute against Hrithik Roshan, Javed Akhtar called her sister Rangoli to his residence at Juhu and threatened and forced her to give a written apology. Apart from this, Kangana’s lawyer has also moved a plea before the chief metropolitan magistrate asking to transfer the case as his client has lost faith in the court. Ranaut’s lawyer added that they are not comfortable before the court and feel that it is biased against her. The transfer plea filed by Ranaut’s lawyer will be heard on October 1. Kangana Ranaut’s plea further stated that she was threatened of dire consequences by indulging in a public fight with her powerful co-star as well as his family, and that the actress will be making her life miserable as she would go to jail and take her life as time would pass. According to Kangana, even her moral character was attacked at times through statements that caused immense mental torture and trauma to her. Akhtar’s lawyer, on the other hand, opposed the submission and said that the transfer petition filed before the SC has already been quashed and that the actress is intending to evade legal proceedings.
