Aamir Khan’s much anticipated film, Laal Singh Chaddha, has zeroed upon 14th as its release date. With this, it will be placed alongside KGF: Chapter 2, which stars Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Raveena Tandon, and Sanjay Dutt.
Besides these two clashes at the box office on that day, rumours are that Beast, starring Chalapathy Vijay, will also be released on the same day, making it a three-way clash of top stars involving three film industries. Even if Beast looks out for another date of release, KGF 2, which is a much-anticipated film in the Hindi belt beside its stronghold in Karnataka, poses a threat for the makers of Laal Singh Chaddha.
One of the sources from the industry says that after witnessing what happened to 83, despite its release one week later than Pushpa, this Advait Chandan-directed film with the likes of Aamir Khan and Kareena Kapoor, may look to shift its date of release and take no chances with a franchise film that already has a huge fan base across the country. While there is still some patch up work remaining on Laal Singh Chaddha, it will be only ideal for it to defer its date.
Releasing on Diwali might not be an option, as it would not like to set up a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s comeback film Pathan. There are plenty of things to think over for the makers now, with too many elements to consider.
