Vicky Kaushal & Sara Ali Khan will share the screen space for the first time in Laxman Utekar’s next, a romantic comedy. The director is well known for his work in Luka Chuppi and Mimi, both of which were backed by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films. This movie too shall be produced by Maddock. The film will be set in a small town and will have a social message in it. Both the actors will be seen playing husband and wife in the movie, who want to break from their joint family home and buy a house for themselves. They will be seen using the Indian Government’s Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana program to buy their house. With this flagship program as a backdrop of the movie, the makers are intending to send out a strong social message more lightly. Ayushmann Khurrana was offered this film initially, but things did not work out and Kaushal was roped in. The film will go on floors from November 15 in Gwalior and Ujjain in Madhya Pradesh. The scheme which will be highlighted in the movie is the brainchild of the Narendra Modi government and helps people from economically weaker sections of the society to get their homes.
