Season 1 of Mirzapur was one of the best one could have on the Indian OTT landscape, and if that was not all, season 2 that was released last year, reinforced the appeal that this crime drama had. That said, the fans were pretty disappointed with a lot of gap between the first two seasons of the series. Now that it is confirmed season 3 is definitely happening, fans are again worried that there will be a long wait after the lockdowns ensuing across the country because of the pandemic. As per Ritesh Sidhwani, the top boss at Excel Entertainment, which produces the series, the Mirzapur script is currently being worked upon, and they were supposed to start the shooting this year. But with the lockdowns and rains, season 3’s take-off will be a bit difficult in 2021, but it will for sure happen in 2022.
