Producer Sandeep Singh, known to work on biopics such as Mary Kom, Aligarh, Sarbjit, and PM Narendra Modi as a producer has now acquired the rights of Sahara Chief Subrata Roy’s biopic. Notably, several production houses were eyeing acquiring the rights for Saharasri’s biopic. Sandeep, who is currently working on Veer Savarkar’s biopic, directed by Mahesh Manjrekar, and is also the producer of Amitabh Bachchan’s Jhund, has his hands full with some exciting projects. As per Sandeep, it wasn’t easy to get the rights of Saharasri’s biopic as he was approached by many production houses. He added that he met Subrata Roy several times during the past year to assure him that the film will not be made for mere financial gains but will be factual and dealt with all honesty.
