Actress Shilpa Shetty’s statement was recorded yesterday in connection with her husband’s role in the pornographic film business. The police are investigating to find out if Shilpa had anything to do with Raj Kundra’s business. After questioning Shilpa for almost five hours, the police also raided the couple’s bungalow in Juhu. Raj, who was arrested on July 19, runs a company called Viaan and allegedly makes all financial transactions from it to another company based in the UK called Kernin, which is owned by his relative. The police reportedly have told the court that they want to investigate Raj Kundra’s bank accounts in United Bank of Africa & Yes Bank as they suspect that the money earned through his pornographic business was used in online betting. Meanwhile, Kundra, who has been sent to Police custody till July 27, has challenged his arrest in the Bombay High Court and called it illegal.
