Only a few days later after the NDPS court rejected the bail plea of Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s flatmate Siddharth Pithani, a detailed order has been made available in the public domain. As per the order, the photographs and videos recovered by the Narcotics Control Bureau during the course of the investigation suggest that Pithani was passing the contraband to the late actor.
The court order further stated that Siddharth Pithani was indeed involved in procurement, transportation, sale, purchase, consumption as well as preparation of the contraband. The order confirmed that all material prima facie establish the applicant’s involvement in illegal activities, abatement & conspiracy, in particular. During the accused’s bail plea in the court, Siddharth Pithani’s lawyer had argued that his case is similar to that of Aryan Khan, who was arrested in a drug bust case and later granted bail.
Pithani had also argued during his hearing that no drugs were ever found on him, and there has been no evidence pertaining to a medical test suggesting that he consumed drugs. The court, however, rejected his bail plea stating that both his and Aryan Khan’s cases were different and reminded Pithani that evidence prima facie indicates his involvement in procurement as well consumption of drugs. Pithani has been put under judicial custody currently and was arrested this year in May. His bail plea was rejected by the NDPS court on December 14.
