Drishyam’s Sequel

Drishyam, the 2013 Malayalam film starring Mohanlal, made history by becoming one of the most successful movies in the Malayalam film industry. Due to its engaging plot, the film got made in multiple languages, including Hindi, which had Ajay Devgn in the lead and no wonder turned out to be a blockbuster. The sequel to the Malayalam film was released in February this year and became an instant hit garnering a tremendous response and appreciation. Soon after, the remake of the sequel in different languages was announced as well. Ajay Devgn will again reprise Vijay Salgaonkar with the original cast of Tabu, Shriya Saran, and Ishita Dutta joining him. The actor has a chock-a-block schedule as of now. His current projects like MayDay, Maidaan, Thank God, and web series debut, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, are in the pipeline. It is reported that the actor will be starting Drishyam 2 shoot from December this year. Since, Nishikant Kamat, who directed Drishyam passed away last year, the sequel will be helmed by Abhishek Pathak. Ajay Devgn is currently shooting his digital debut, Rudra: The Edge of Darkness, which is being made for Disney+Hotstar. After this shoot, he will head to Moscow, to complete some crucial scenes for his directorial, Mayday. He will then restart working on Maidaan for a month and finally will take up Drishyam 2 and Thank God simultaneously.
