Power Couple, Ali Fazal & Richa Chaddha have started their own production house, Pushing Buttons Studios. The company will float stories having Indian ethos to the global audience. The work on the first project under this banner has already begun and is titled Girls Will Be Girls. Written & Directed by an Indian director based out of New York, Shuchi Talati, it is the only Indian script that is invited to the coveted Berlinale Script Station 2021, a lab that selects just 10 scripts from around the world every year. The film, set in a small Himalayan town is a female-led story and talks of a mother-daughter relationship that grows together through the course of the script. Reacting to the development Ali Fazal said that it is the first time that he & Richa have collaborated on a film as producers and the experience has been nothing short of rewarding. He also added that through the venture they hope to portray some thought-provoking and universal stories that are filled with love and humour.
