Anushka Sharma on Thursday shared the teaser of her next film, Chakda Express, which is a biopic of ace Indian cricketer Jhulan Goswami. This film will mark the actress’s re-entry onto the big screen after three years.
However, there is a section of netizens who feel that Anushka should have chosen another film for her comeback given her poor attempt at the dusky look that she was supposed to have or her weird attempt at speaking Bengali. Jhulan Goswami happened to be a Bengali who led the Indian women’s cricket team.
Although Anushka spoke only one line in the teaser in Bengali, she could not get the right response as anticipated from the Twitterverse. Some called the accent horrible, while some said that a Bengali actor could have been apt for the role. One of the tweets highlighted that there’s nothing against Anushka as she is a brilliant actress, but there are some fine actresses in the Bengali film industry as well who could have fit the bill.
