Rajkummar Rao, who is known to put life into the characters he plays, will next be seen as Srikanth Bolla, a visually impaired industrialist who is the founder of Bollant Industries. The film is yet to be titled and is written by Sumit Purohit and Jagdeep Sidhu.
Helmed by Tushar Hiranandani, this inspiring story of grit and courage against all the odds will be produced by T-Series and Chalk N Cheese Film Production LLP. Speaking on the occasion, a jubilant Rajkummar Rao said that he believes it is an honour to play Srikanth, who has been through a lot of hardships but has risen like a Phoenix.
He added that he is excited to be working with Bhushan Kumar again on this compelling project. Hailing from a remote village in rural Andhra, Srikanth Bolla had to face many adversities, including fighting a long-standing legal battle with the state to opt for the science stream after class 10. Bolla not only cleared the 10th and 12th examinations with flying colours but also became the first international blind student to study at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the U.S.
