Bollywood has come out in full support showing immense maturity, solidarity and concern for the underprivileged suffering due to the current Covid 19 pandemic.
Not known to take stands on serious social and national issues; the pandemic has brought them all together to support and work for bottom layer currently facing migration, food and financial challenges.
Author and screenwriter Pankaj Dubey, the official spokesperson for the I Stand With Humanity told FridayBrands “the campaign has nearly 15,000 volunteers .The initiative was mooted by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, Rajkumar Hirani and Mahavir Jain, later on Bollywood joined in with its full might with celebrities like Karan Johar, Ekta Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Rohit Shetty, Dinesh Vijan, and many others pitching in for the good cause”. “The initiative has already reached out to a million families in the past seven days” says Mr Dubey With the help of contributions from celebrities the supply of essentials to a million homes has become a reality within a short period of time.
Started during the time of Janta Curfew..it has already reached out close to 4 lacs people in 9 states now..
