Last year, it came as a shock to everyone when Aamir Khan and wife Kiran Rao announced their separation after 15 years of marriage. A joint statement was released from them, which asserted that they would remain friends and collaborators despite the split.
The two continued their collaboration on Laal Singh Chaddha after the announcement, and it does look like they will continue to work together for a long time. And to corroborate this, as per a recent report in a national daily, Aamir has come aboard for a Kiran Rao comeback directorial after 2010’s Dhobi Ghat. Kiran has already finalised the script, which is believed to be a mass entertainer. In fact, the filming has already begun in Pune on January 8. As per the source, Aamir came on board immediately once he heard the script.
Reports of Biplab Goswami and Sneha Desai as writer and screenplay director, respectively, have come up. The film will star Sparsh Srivastava from Jamtara, Pratibha Ranta, who has been seen in Qurbaan Hua, and Nitanshi Goel from Bajirao. The current schedule will go on till January 20 with COVID precautions, post which there will be a few weeks’ break, only to finish the entire film by April.
