It had to happen eventually, but the sooner the better for the actor and his adoring fans. One of India’s most likeable and beloved comedy superstars, Kapil Sharma’s biopic has been announced by Mahaveer Jain under the banner of Lyca Productions. The film will be helmed by the director of Fukrey, Mrighdeep Singh Lamba, and will be titled Funkaar.
Lamba, who is currently involved in Fukrey 3, has confirmed the same. As per him, he looks forward to working on the story of India’s most beloved comic star, or FUNKAAR.
In a statement, Jain added that he is proud to present the superstar of comedy Kapil Sharma’s untold story on the big screen and that too, in a big way. Kapil already grabbed headlines last week due to his association with Netflix for “Kapil Sharma: I’m Not Done Yet” which will premiere on January 28.
The comedian currently hosts the show “The Kapil Sharma Show” on Sony every weekend.
