Spider-Man: No Way Home has enjoyed a terrific run at the box office globally. But with rising COVID numbers, the film has started to feel the pinch. It was released on December 17, and in India a day before, and had an earth-shattering start by making record-breaking collections over the weekend.

It also became one of the quickest entrants into the $1 billion club across the globe. However, the film has started to see a downfall in the US, India, and other countries as the third wave of the pandemic has engulfed them once again. The film has already made a sum of $1.39 billion. On its third Sunday, the film made $17.50 million, only to drop to $7.9 million the next day. If this wasn’t enough, the numbers dropped further to $3.92 million by Thursday.

A big dent is seen in the numbers, but the film, in all likelihood, will reach $1.5 billion. However, it might not be able to reap its full potential. In India, the film stands only next to Avengers: Endgame and Avengers: Infinity War in terms of the highest grossing Hollywood films.
